About Us

Founded in January 2012, Team United consists of 11 travel baseball players (formally of the Plum Borough Athletic Association in Plum, PA). Our boys (now 11 years old) currently compete in the Three Rivers Baseball League based out of Squirrel Hill, PA.  We travel locally to play different teams, organizations, and tournaments in the surrounding areas. United Baseball is a non-profit organization focusing on the development of its players at a fraction of the cost of most AAU teams. Team United and the Penn Hills Baseball Association also work together on tournaments, scrimmages, and practices throughout the baseball season. United trains in the off-season at Xtra Innings Baseball Inc. in Plum, and our home field is at the North Bessemer Field in Penn Hills.

When Team United was founded, our first order of business was to secure a field for the team. At the time, North Bessemer Field had been sitting vacant for almost a decade.  The field and its grounds were in poor condition, damaged and filled with trash.  Thanks to Penn Hills Municipal officials, local businesses, volunteers, and nearly $20,000 later the field has been totally remodeled. We have new foul poles and lines, bleachers, players benches, infield mix, parking lot, and a re-furnished back stop.

The field dimensions are 258′ to the foul poles, and 240′ to center field. The infield bases can be set from 60-80′ with the pitching mound between 46-50′.

Team United is extremely proud of all the hard work, and dedication that went into the remodeling of the field. United is also in the final stages of adding new dug-outs and storage shed provided from a donation from 84 Lumber.
